Education Overview

The Climate Change Research Center engages in educational activities ranging from graduate level instruction to non-formal outreach at science centers. Listed below is an overview of each area of concentration, along with related links and contact information.

Graduate

CCRC faculty teach a number of graduate level courses in the areas of climate change and atmospheric sciences, in a ddition to serving as committee members for a number of interdisciplinary degrees. We also serve as advisors and for a large number of both Master's and Ph. D. candidates. Please visit our funding opportunities page to learn more about our offerings.

Undergraduate

Several CCRC faculty have joint appointments with the Earth Science department, and teach undergraduate level courses through this association. We also work with undergraduates through programs such as the Research & Discover internship and the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program.

K–12

CCRC faculty and staff are active in K–12 curriculum development through in–class support, on–line lesson guides, and teacher training. We are also collaborators in UNH's Transforming Earth System Science Education (TESSE) initiative—a program that supports both pre–service and in–service teachers.

Community Outreach

We have been active in developing outreach materials, primarily in the form of inter–active displays, for locations such as UNH's Dimond Library, the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, New Hampshire, and the Exeter Hospital in Exeter, New Hampshire.
